Update: This place is currantly closed.Great rest stop. We always stop here. Could be more food stands, but still a good rest stop. Be prepared to line up for the bathroom

Destination British Columbia provided visitor centres for visitor information and travel updates. Having a washroom available is just a great perk, but certainly not a requirement. You wont find public washrooms in many visitor centres around the world. This visitor centre is excellent at fullfilling its purpose - providing up to date and accurate information for travelers. Those complaining about the extra perks that it just so happens to offer for you convenience? For legal and liability issues as well they cannot leave their washrooms public while no one is on the premise. People desperately need to stop being so entitled and appreciate things more. Great job Merritt visitor centre!
Absolute shame that all the visitors centers are closing down. All the people are absolutely fantastic. And being that we have 2 babies, the visitors centers make excellent rest stops for all of us to stretch our legs and explore.
