I don't think I've ever been treated so poorly by a hotel front desk person in my life. My husband and I booked a room here weeks ago for a stop over in Merritt. After driving through the evening we got to the hotel excited to rest. We were met with so much animosity I would have wanted to leave anyway. We were told that they tried for weeks to charge our card and were unsuccessful. The woman at the counter said that she called just a couple hours previously and left a message but since we were obviously on the road, we did not receive such a call. They cancelled our room and gave it away. You would think that any day before two hours prior to checking in would be a good time to let us know that they were having issues with the card. She then had the audacity to try and shame us about not having credit available to pay for the room. I totally recognize that things happen and can appreciate that the failed processing would be frustrating and they would want to favour a patron that was there in person looking for a room. But blaming us and beginning the conversation so defensively and rudely was uncalled for and really put a damper on the night.On the bright side, the Quality Inn next door was absolutely lovely and well worth the extra dollars on that credit card that wasn't good enough for the Super 8.
The restaraunt was packed due to rockin river fest...but the service was good and its got the best pie in the county and one of my favorite waitresses. Always friendly always smiling
Hi we stopped at your motel on July 13 2018 and I just wanted to tell you how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the room.
The rooms were clean and the decor was nice for what I was expecting. The shower pressure was nice. Unfortunately the beds were quite hard. Breakfast had options like two types of cereal, muffins, banana bread and instant oatmeal.
Went to the Home Restaurant for a brunch meal. While it was busy, we didn't have to wait long and the staff were very friendly with great service. The food was great and resonably priced. Definitely recommend!
