What a delightful surprise. More of us need to get off the highway and go downtown Merritt more often. Easy parking for folk pulling trailers. We were richly rewarded with this discovery. Wow. Best bannock ever. Still can hardly believe this place. Friendly +++ first and foremost. Outstanding food. Enough said. Well done everyone.

Found this gem online and boy, am I glad I did! I was intrigued by the indigenous cuisine aspect and had never tried bannock so I opted for the bacon and egg Bannock breakfast sandwich. Wow. It was awesome. Everything was so fresh, and it was a perfect breakfast portion. The drip coffee was the perfect brew on top of that. The restaurant was very clean and all the staff looked happy to be there and were doing an awesome job. If youre stopping in Merrit check them out !

A group of friends and I stopped here on our way to the interior, and I have to say, it has become a new guaranteed stop for me. I had the cinnamon sugar bannock, and I'm pretty sure my tastebuds died. THAT'S HOW GOOD IT WAS. I now have dreams about these bannock-donut concoctions. They had a vast variety from plain bannock to Skor flavoured. I didn't get the chance to order a meal, but next time I'm out there, I will definitely get a taco (MADE WITH BANNOCK).In addition, the service was lovely and the beverages were fabulous. Please make a second location in Vancouver. It's much too far for me to get my breakfast.

Its a pretty nondescript place from the outside but inside the cafe is quite nice, very clean and bright. The food was really good, though there is limited vegetarian options (and no vegan options) but staff were able to accommodate. I had the corn and bean salad with lime dressing and it was really good. The baked goods look fresh and delicious. All our meals came with fresh traditional bannock which was super good. This is a great place to stop by for something a bit different.

One of my favorite stops for a bite to eat when driving from Vancouver to Kelowna. Try the Indian Tacos.... the vegetarian option corn and black bean taco was delicious! Although as another poster mentioned, vegetarian choices are limited. Love their bannock bread!
